During this time of unprecedented uncertainty, we want to take this opportunity to update you on our COVID-19 response and reassure all our customers and partners that despite the current difficulties, Custom Gateway is running as normal.
Being a cloud-based company, each member of our team is currently working from home and all departments including Explainers, Onboarders and Support are all fully contactable by phone, email and even Google Hangout. This means that our team is most importantly safe and also on hand, should you need to speak to us directly.
Everyone is concerned about the global spread of the virus, but according to the British Retail Foundation “the government has stated that all online business should remain open and be encouraged”. This was backed up by the UK Health Secretary Matt Hancock who said those who cannot work from home should go to work “to keep the country running”. With the help of our technology we fully expect most of our customers & fulfilment network to keep functioning with minimal disruption.
Despite the current situation, we still believe that there are many positive points to focus on. For instance, many of our retailers witnessed strong Mother’s Day performance, particularly in light of the increase in online shopping. With Easter around the corner, we’re hoping this too will prove to be another opportunity for eCommerce to demonstrate its strength.
